FINALLY AN ORGANIZATION THAT ONE CAN BELONG TO

Congratulations to those Mbaise sons who for the love of their mother land came up with the concept of the International Liason of Mbaise Indigines (ILMI). From the moment I saw the list of persons involved in this endeavor I knew it was something special and unique. I also knew that is where I belong. For the first time people are talking about the welfare of Mbaise and not any thing else. How to systematically curb the ills of the society and restore the diginity we once had has become the watch word. For once since I can remember a group of Mbaise sons have taken the bull by the horn knowing that it is not going to be an easy task and at the same thing have come to the conclusion that no one else will bring salvation to our land but us.

One thing that has brought this group together is the love of the place we all call home and the zeal to contribute in the effort to bring law and order to that part of the nation. To safe gaurd life and property has become a priority. From this commentator's point of view our elected officials and politicians have failed us and we MUST not fail the generations behind us. The time is ripe also to demand that any community that habors any criminal elements in their mist should bear the burden of what ever sactions that the entire Mbaise community would stipulate. Secondly any community that knowingly selects or is instrumental to having a person of questionable character nominated and installed an eze should also be sactioned. For the purpose of full disclosure, this writer is a memeber of ILMI.

Mbaise sons and daughter should as a matter of urgency demand to have a say on who ever is being considerd an eze in any community in Mbaise to ensure that recent history does not repeat its self. For starters we support our families from where ever we are and as a result have earned the right to be consulted when such matters of importance comes up. Enough is enough and we can no longer stand idlely bye and watch a few hoodlums destroy the legacy that our fathers and those before them left in our care.
