What next with the Nigerian aviation?

The question that will be on the lips of most Nigerians especially those of us who reside here in the United States would be what is next with the Nigerian aviation now that the country has attained the ever elusive category one standard by the US government? For so many years the cost of flying home has been sky rocketing given the fact that one has to go through Europe in other to get to Nigeria their by doubling the cost of the airfare. That not withstand the insult and inhuman treatment our people have endured over the years has reached epidemic proportions

With the new dawn in our aviation history, do we expect that things are going to change any time soon? Airlines from the United States go to several cities in Nigeria including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt to mention a few. The hope of many Nigerians here is that flights out of Nigeria would not be limited to New York alone as it has always been the case. Nigerians do not leave in New York alone, they are located all over the United States and as a result it will be important for those charged with negotiating with the US authorities to have that in mind.

For once my I through this medium congratulate the federal ministry of aviation for a job well done. Lets hope that this is the beginning of better things to come so as to once again put a smile on the faces of Nigerians who live since the demise of the now defunct Nigeria Airways which used to be the pride of Africa.
