Imo State house of corruption

In the very recent past a lot have been said and written about the corrupt administration of Ikedi Ohakim the governor of Imo State. Today this independent observer will take a look at the state house of Assembly. In any democracy there is usually three branches of the government namely, the executive, judiciary and the legislature. These are, as they say in the catholic church the "three divine persons in one God". So far all the three branches are very corrupt with the governor leading the pack. What is disturbing is the deafening silence of the members of this dishonorable house.

I have watched in disbelief how these shameless human beings have helped Ohakim loot the State Treasury with reckless abandon, from all indications monies meant for the local government areas are being shared between Ohakim and these shameless idiots who were supposed to serve the people. I hope that Imo people are beginning to figure out who is on their side and who is not. How many of these so called members who were elected under the umbrella of the PDP have attracted one single project to their various communities? They are all there for their respective families and every other person can go to hell. The time has come to throw the bums out. Any representation without a voice is equal to no representation. Most of them have become contractors, they loot, they share and the people are left to wonder what happened to their voice. No one is being represented but themselves. We the people must decide in the forth coming election to ask every member to account for his or her stewardship before asking for our support. It is only when one can point to what they did in the past that we can make an informed decision weather to send them back or say enough is enough.

To help us make up our minds on these people we elected/selected in the past it will be helpful to ask the following questions of each member of the Assembly.
(a) What did you and the state government do for your constituency during your current term?
(b) Where were you or what did you do when the governor robbed the state with a forty billion naira bond? Did you vote yes or no? Did you even tell your constituents of such an initiative that would bankrupt the state for generations to come? Do we really need the legislative branch in Imo State as its only a rubber stamp? Would it not be better for the governor and his commissioners alone to be sharing their loot that way we the people would know we have no representation in government? My people let us use our votes wisely this time, what ever you do, do not sell your votes, let your votes count and in the name of God register and vote that way together we can take our State back.
