Tuesday 11.38am: I have been watching the politics of both the democrates and republicans as the sprint to the finish line for the presidency of this great land. For purposes of full disclosure I am an indipendent voter. I followed the primaries till they concluded. Gauging from the mood of the country one can safely say that the republicans will be in for a rough ride come Novemeber. The economy is in shambles, unemplyment is at its peak, housing problems persist. The presidents approval rating is at its lowest.
This for all intents and purposes is Obama's election to loose, so I thought. I have watched the VP selection process in awe and the mistakes are glaring. Common sense detects that you get to the white house first before any other thing. Both Obama and Clinton had 18 million votes which suggests to me that each has their strenghts and weeknesses. Each of them brings elctoral viability to the table. More importantly they both have been battle tested. My hunch was that irrespective of the animosity that exists between the two, everyone's eyes should be on the big picture or price... the presidency. I respect Bidin and all his accomplishments. The bottomline is how many electroal votes does he bring to the table? For the Obama people not to even consider Clinton for the VP spot is an act of arrogance. She in my humble opinion earned a place on the ticket no matter what any one says. To say that she and her husband were given primetime speaking slots to appease the gods is at best a flimsy and stupid argurement. Obama already has two stricks against him going into the elections, one he is black and two he is not expirienced. For him to ignore the 18 million voters behind Clinton is foolish. I am a blackman who would love nothing more than to see a brother in the people's house.
I think Obama has tacticaly given this forth coming election to the republicans. I will stand corrected should he win but if my hunch is any thing to go bye, given the number of dissatified Clinton supporters then this election has been won and lost and hopefully no one should have the ordasity to blame anyone else but Obama and his crowd

what makes you think he didn't consider as a running mate?
all we got is a choice, not a selection process.
Cwj, the facts are there for all to see. She was not even vetted so how could he have considered her?
